This session will give students an overview of what digital learning looks like at North Island College. Topics covered include:

• Overview - ‘digital learning’ for students: technology and competencies for success

• MyNIC – NIC’s student portal with links and information

• BlueJeans – NIC’s video conferencing platform for live classes, office hours and meetings

• Blackboard Learn – NIC’s learning management system for hosting course content, assignments, discussions and grades

• Kaltura MediaSpace – NIC’s video creation, storage and streaming platform

• Resources - information for successful student learning in digital format courses

• Questions

• Wrap Up

Session Format: This is an orientation tour with opportunities to ask questions. Students will watch narrated tours of four learning technology platforms via BlueJeans (video conferencing platform) and ask questions via the chat or when there is time allotted for questions.
